Liquefied natural gas for export
In 2018, thanks to the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project led by SNH and its partners Perenco and Golar, Cameroon became a natural gas exporting country. Gas from the Sanaga South field is liquefied on a floating plant off the coast of Kribi, with an annual production of 1.4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG). At the same time, 1.8 million barrels of very light oil, called condensate, are produced for the refinery.
