Perenco Cameroon’s new CEO introduced to the SNH Management Board
The news is threefold: The reshuffle includes Armel Simondin’s promotion from CEO of Perenco’s Cameroonian subsidiaries to CEO of the group, overseeing activities in 14 countries. Yves Postec steps into his previous role, having previously led Perenco’s Brazilian subsidiary. Additionally, Bertrand Nganou, technical adviser to the CEO of the Cameroonian subsidiaries, has been appointed as a director for the group worldwide.
These announcements were made by Armel Simondin, Perenco’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to SNH managers during a formal meeting between the parties concerned and a subsequent luncheon with the Management Board, extended to include the Deputy Directors.
The new CEO is no stranger to Cameroonian operations. Yves Postec served as Production Manager for Perenco in Cameroon from 2014 to 2017. With a career spanning nearly 16 years with the group, he has notably worked in Gabon, Congo Tunisia and Peru. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role at the helm of the two subsidiaries of Cameroon’s leading oil and gas operator
During a cocktail hosted by Perenco after the formal proceedings held at SNH, the group’s CEO praised the enduring 30-year partnership with SNH, a relationship that he is keen to continue for the foreseeable future.
