Oil and gas activities explained to journalists

As a prelude to the 46th session of the Council of Ministers of the African Petroleum Producer’s Organisation (APPO), being held in Yaoundé from 28 October to 1st November 2024, the National Hydrocarbons Corporation organised a capacity-building workshop for journalists on oil and gas activities in Cameroon on 21st October.

SNH 2024 Golf Open: a triumphant return

The tournament, which ran from 21 to 27 October, ended on a high note.

The SNH 2024 Golf Open ended on 27 October at the Yaoundé Golf Club after an intense week. More than 150 golfers of all categories took part in the event, which marked SNH’s return to the game.

SNH’s Executive General Manager notes an increase in national gas production in 2023

During a New Year wishes ceremony held at the company’s head office on 18 January, Adolphe Moudiki highlighted an encouraging development: an increase of about 5% in national gas production in 2023. This positive trend was driven by the drilling of new wells in the Sanaga Sud field. These resources, which have been harnessed for energy generation since 2013, will find a new outlet this year.

International Women’s Day: SNH’s Female Staff Take Pride in Their Workplace

This year’s theme: “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”, offered a moment to reflect on SNH’s strides towards gender equality.

This review highlighted that SNH upholds equal rights and responsibilities for all employees, providing the same opportunities for career advancement, particularly in terms of access to positions of responsibility. As such, out of 160 decision-making roles at SNH, women hold 57 positions, equating to a 35% representation rate.

Perenco Cameroon’s new CEO introduced to the SNH Management Board

The news is threefold: The reshuffle includes Armel Simondin’s promotion from CEO of Perenco’s Cameroonian subsidiaries to CEO of the group, overseeing activities in 14 countries. Yves Postec steps into his previous role, having previously led Perenco’s Brazilian subsidiary. Additionally, Bertrand Nganou, technical adviser to the CEO of the Cameroonian subsidiaries, has been appointed as a director for the group worldwide.
